Aloha Y'all,

Today was a much better practice than yesterday. This morning we all woke up and ate breakfast then just hung out before we headed to the field for practice. Practice was short and sweet, we hit a lot and did a little bit of defense. The team seemed really excited waiting for the big day tomorrow. After practice Michelle Smith, a former Olympic softball player, was standing outside our dugout waiting to talk to some of the girls on the team. Everyone introduced themselves as they walked by her and I think that was when it all started coming together for me.

I have been here before, the night before a super regional game, but that was a long time ago and a lot has changed since then. Last time I was at a Super Regional we were facing (Tennessee's) Monica Abbott and I was just a freshman. Back then I honestly didn't realize how exciting it really is to make it this far into post-season. Now that I understand how significant this all is makes a huge difference to the approach I want to take for the weekend because we are either a series away from going to the World Series or a series away from my career being over. I'm not ready for it to be over. I know we are going to come out ready and focused for tomorrow's game. Right now all we are focusing on is the one game tomorrow, and we can worry about the rest of the weekend as it comes. Wish us luck, and check out the game on ESPNU at 12:30 Hawaiian time!
