College baseball: Hawai�i beats Air Force, 13-1, to complete sweep

David Freitas and Pi�ikea Kitamura each drove in three runs to back the strong pitching of Matt Sisto as Hawai�i beat Air Force, 13-1, to complete the four-game series sweep tonight before 1,216 at Les Murakami Stadium.
Sisto (2-3) pitched seven innings, allowing a run, three hits and a walk with eight strikeouts for the Rainbows (11-9). Connor Little added a scoreless eighth with two strikeouts and Trent Allianic added a scoreless ninth.
Michael Ruvolo (0-2) was tagged for nine runs (seven earned), eight hits and a walk in 1 2/3 innings for the Falcons (5-16).
The Falcons took a 1-0 lead in the first when Blair Roberts singled to second, took second on a sacrifice and scored on Addison Gentry�s ground-rule double to left-center.
Hawai�i sent eight batters up in a four-run bottom of the first. Matt Roquemore singled up the middle and went to second on Greg Garica�s double to left-center. Both scored on Kolten Wong�s double to right to give UH a 2-1 lead. An out later, Wong scored on Collin Bennett�s triple to right-center. Bennett scored when Kevin Macdonald grounded out to third on a diving stop by KJ Randhawa.
Ten batters came up for UH in a five-run second. The Rainbows added to their lead in the second. With two out, Garcia singled and went to third on Wong�s single to center that allowed the batter to take second on the throw to third. David Freitas blasted a three-run home run to right to make it 7-1. Bennett walked and took second when Randhawa dopped Macdonald�s liner for an error. Rovulo was pulled for Evan Abrecht, who gave up back-to-back RBI singles to Jeffrey Van Doornum and P�ikea Kitamura to make it 9-1.
The Rainbows scored three in the fourth. Bennett led off with a single to center and went to second on Macdonald�s single to third. Van Doornum�s flare single to right loaded the bases. Kitamura followed with a two-run single to center that moved Van Doornum to third. Kalani Brackenridge grounded to second for a double play that scored Van Doornum to make it 12-1.
Breland Almadova�s sacrifice fly to center in the seventh off Albrecht to make it 13-1.
