Five charged following police 'ice' raid in Waikoloa

The Hawai'i County Ice Task Force police officers have charged five people who were arrested in a raid Friday of a home in the Francolin subdivision in Waikoloa.

Officers found about 15 grams of crystal methamphetamine packaged in zipped packets, several glass smoking pipes, digital weighing scales, other related paraphernalia, residual amounts of cocaine, 484.2 grams of dried marijuana, 12 marijuana plants ranging in height from 6 inches to 3 feet, numerous pharmaceutical pills, a loaded .25 caliber handgun and ammunition.

Charged on Saturday were William Moore, 55; Keokalani Joaquin, 29; Samantha Moore, 21; Kimberly DeThomas, 26; and Michelle Moore, 25.

Each was charged with three counts of promoting dangerous drugs and three counts of drug paraphernalia. Various other charges were brought against some of the suspects.
