NHL: L.A. Kings coach arrested in DC on sex abuse charge

WASHINGTON — Los Angeles Kings assistant coach Mark Hardy has been arrested in Washington on a charge of misdemeanor sex abuse.
The 51-year-old Hardy is scheduled to make an initial court appearance Friday in D.C. Superior Court. Details of the allegations are not yet available.
The Kings said in a statement that they are aware of the charge and have no further comment.
Hardy played in the NHL for 15 years. He began his second stint as an assistant coach for the Kings in 2008.
