NFL: Seahawks hopeful Hill will play for them in 2010

RENTON, Wash. — The Seahawks are continuing to keep Leroy Hill at home while they wait for the NFL to possibly discipline their dynamic linebacker.

Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Monday after Hill missed the latest organized team activity that the team doesn't know when the league might rule on Hill's playing status for 2010. Carroll says he is hoping the four-year starter will be available this season.

Hill was arrested for investigation of domestic violence in the Seattle suburb of Issaquah last month.

Before that, Hill was sentenced to 12 months of probation in Georgia on a plea deal for a marijuana charge.

The 27-year-old could be subject to testing and possible discipline in the NFL's confidential substance abuse program.
