NBA Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans of the Sacramento Kings and Steve Blake of the Los Angeles Clippers will Headline 1 a development basketball camp June 8 to 10 at the Clarence T.C. Ching gym at Maryknoll.

Several current and former coaches from Hawai'i Pacific University and local high schools also will assist in the camp.

Highlights of the camp include autograph sessions, comments and questions sessions, pictures, games, skill work and silent auction.

It is open to boys and girls entering the third to 12th grades. Camp for third- to sixth-graders will be 9 a.m. to noon and seventh to 12th graders from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Cost is $150 with proceeds to benefit various Honolulu charities, including Shriners Hospital. For information, go to www.trdplayerdevelopment.com. Contact gregdundon@hotmail.com to pay via credit card.

KO OLINA KIDZ EVENT STARTING

The third session of the Ko Olina Kidz Club starts Sunday and meets weekly through June 20.

The club is open to all golfers ages 7 to 17. There are Introductory, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced classes. They range in price from $140 to $180.

Students also receive Hawai'i State Junior Golf Association membership, a Kidz Club shirt and cap, First Swing for Juniors and Rules of Golf books and 25 percent off US Kids Clubs. The fourth session starts July 25. For more information, call Ko Olina at 676-5300.
