HONOLULU, HI (May 4, 2010) A special canine competition of American Bully Dogs will take center stage at the Neil S. Blaisdell Center's Exhibition Hall on June 11-12 at the third annual "Big Boys & MMA Hawaii Expo, Hawaii's Baddest Display of Big Boys and Their Toys." Hawaii's first-ever American Bully Dog Specialty Show and competition is set for Friday, June 11 and Saturday, June 12 and will feature the best of the breed.

American Bully Dogs registered with the American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC) are eligible to compete in Friday and Saturday's ABKC specialty competition. Only competition dogs allowed.

During the two-day event, dog lovers will be treated to a plethora of other doggie driven events including an American Bully Dog showcase and exhibit kennels. Specialty fun shows will include puppy and keiki show, canine fashion show, seminars and other entertainment. A few of Hawaii's Best In Show winners will also be featured, along with the new bloodline of shorty bulls.

Atomic Dog Magazine will be on hand to cover the competition, which is being sponsored by ILWU Local 142 Hawaii Longshore Division, Oakley, Shack Waikiki, Shack Hawaii Kai, Yoonek Concepts, Oceans 808, Tails Of Hawaii, 420 Staffords & Game, Pet's Discount and Hawaii Pet Magazine.

American Bullies are a breed created from the American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier. The correct bloodline for the American Bully Dog can consist of American Staffordshire, French Bull Dog, English Bull Dog, American Pit Bull, and any Bull Terrier blood. Fans say the designer dogs combine the best aspects of both breeds: the high spirits, intelligence and muscularity of the American Pit Bull Terrier and the large head and mellow temperament of the American Staffordshire Terrier.
