Hawai'i Pacific University senior Sherise Musquiz was named Pitcher of the Year, three others were named first team as the Sea Warriors made a haul on the all-PacWest softball team, the league announced Tuesday.

Joining four-time first-teamer Musquiz from HPU were senior outfielder Ciera Senas, junior catcher Kozy Toriano (named as utility player) and sophomore Maile Kim. HPU utility player Nicole Morrow was named Freshman of the Year and Bryan Nakasone was named Coach of the Year.

Senior pitcher Amber Waracka and junior Christina Pedroza, both of UH-Hilo, also were named to the first team.

HPU's Casey Sugihara, Kozy Toriano (catcher) and Ashley Valine; UH-Hilo's Amanda Tellez and Siera Green, and Chaminade's Brandi Sasaki were named to the second team.

Musquiz earned her second Pitcher of the Year honor after taking the award as a freshman in 2007.

She amassed a 25-1 record with an 0.85 earned-run average in 157.1 innings. She had eight shutouts.

Morrow hit .340 this season in 44 games and had a .515 slugging rate to go along with a .412 on-base average.

Nakasone repeated as the PacWest Coach of the Year after leading the Sea Warriors to the PacWest Championship and the top seed in the NCAA II West Region Tournament.
