Seminar offers tips on saving energy

WRITINGS OF 25 ISLE STUDENTS FEATURED

Twenty-five middle school students share their stories, poems and essays about Hawai'i's natural splendors and the challenges of conserving them in the "My Hawai'i Story Project" 2010 Anthology, compiled by reps from the Hawai'i Conservation Alliance Foundation, Hawai'i Conservation Alliance and Pacific Writers' Connection. It will be distributed to middle schools and public libraries statewide.

"My Hawai'i Story Project" includes student authors Shae Chambers, Christelle Matsuda, Kelianne Miyaoka and Jessica Yamada ('Iolani School), Bichdiem Pham (Jarrett Middle School), Sierra Jackson and MeiLan Sim (Kailua Intermediate School), Cassidy Apo, Auli'i Fisher, Kayla Ganir, Keoni Kahiapo, Teancum "T.K." Kaitoku, Micah Morales, Dana "Mailani" Neal, Arielle Taramasco, Emma Young, Lahela Yuen and Sierra Yuen (Kamehameha Schools, Kapālama Middle School), Jaye-lyn Orikasa (Kamehameha Schools, Maui), Kelly Kennedy (Parker School), Eileen Roco (Sacred Hearts Academy), Brittany Adversalo-Clarke, Cuyler Bleecker, Emma Mix and Taylor Goo Sun (University Laboratory School).
