A female student walking along Dole Street by the University of Hawai'i William S. Richardson School of Law was accosted by a man just after midnight early yesterday, UH officials said.

A passerby intervened and the woman got away, authorities said.

Honolulu police were notified of the incident, said Gregg Takayama, UH spokesman.
