Mid-Pacific places third in DI, Hawaii Prep finishes third in DII

Ryan Muraoka had two hits, including a home run, and Cy Higashi had two hits and two RBIs as Mid-Pacific beat second-seeded Saint Louis, 8-5, to capture third place of the Wally Yonamine Foundation Division I State Baseball Championships.

Tyler Nishimoto added two hits for the Owls, who scored seven runs in the bottom of the first in a game shortened to five innings at Iron Maehara Stadium in Wailuku, Maui.

Moses Samia had two hits for the Crusaders.
