Rock Shop, Anne Au's chic pop-up boutique, has become a destination for those who prefer to dress as individualists.

From 5 to 9 tonight, Rock Shop will open at Coral Loft as a destination for First Friday art and fashion lovers. Among the vendors: Lions n Tigers (created by Au and Micah Iaukea), B-Ware, Dork and Cloth.

For First Friday, Cloth is offering $20 vintage fill-a-bags.

Find Coral Loft at 1033 A Smith St. in Chinatown; rockshophawaii@gmail.com.

CHIC FAREWELL

As we prepare to say aloha 'oe to The Ho-no-lulu Advertiser, we must also bid adieu to the Fashion Forum. Please join us at Chic in the City for a red carpet, cosmos and conversation. We'll each be channeling one of the fab four (Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha). Who inspires you?

Doors open at 7 p.m. May 28, at Dole Ballrooms, with a fashion show at 8, followed by a private screening of the movie "Sex and the City 2." Pre-sale tickets are $65. Go to www.dreamonhi.com. And yes — your Mr. Big can come too.

MUSE IX SUMMER COLLECTION

Lynda Caris, designer of Muse IX Designs jewelry, has created a new collection for summer called Sea Symphony. Ironically, its introduction was postponed on Feb. 26 because of the tsunami threat. The trunk show has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, at Macy's, Ala Moana. Let's hope the sea behaves this time and provides a symphony rather than cacophony.

A ROSE IS A ROSE ... NOT!

Not when it's a panty disguised as a rose. Here's a rose Mom will love, and it will last far beyond Mother's Day. Nickky Priolo came up with the idea of crafting popular Hanky Panky low-rise and original thongs into rosebuds to offer an alternative to the fleeting rose. She's selling them for $25 each at Morgan Beret, Ward Centre. Phone 589-2580 or visit www.morganberet.com.
