MLB: Phillies reliever Madson out at least 2 months

PHILADELPHIA — Phillies reliever Ryan Madson will miss at least eight weeks after having toe surgery on Tuesday.
Madson broke his right toe when he kicked a chair after blowing a save last Wednesday. The right-handed setup man had filled in as the team's closer in Brad Lidge's absence early this season. He's 1-0 with four saves and a 7.00 ERA in nine games.
Madson blew his second save of the year in Philadelphia's 7-6, 11-inning win over San Francisco and kicked a chair. He went on the disabled list two days later.
