Drivers may be seeing heavy traffic on west-bound Kalanianaole Highway near the Kahala exit and east-bound Kahala on-ramp until about 3:30 p.m. today as Gas Company crews perform emergency work on its underground utility pipeline on both sides of Kalanianaole near Kapahaki Stream.

The right west-bound lane near the Kahala off-ramp and the right east-bound lane near the Kahala on-ramp are closed.

Police are on scene and sign boards are posted to help direct drivers around the construction area.
