Rock fan alert: this summer San Diego's Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park presents a heady dose of nostalgia with "Taking Aim: Unforgettable Rock 'n' Roll Photographs Selected by Graham Nash." Taking Aim chronicles the history of rock 'n' roll through the eyes of 40 legendary photographers and 100 photographs chosen by Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills and Nash. The exhibition captures the spirit and essence of rock 'n' roll while expressing Nash's view on the evolution of the music through powerful photographs of some of music's greatest voices including Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Debbie Harry and more.The exhibition features some of Nash's own images and photography and is accompanied by an audio tour narrated by the musician.June 12-Sept. 26. www.mopa.org.

And, nearby at the San Diego Museum of Art, also in Balboa Park, "Toulouse-Lautrec's Paris: Selections from the Baldwin M. Baldwin Collection" is on show July 11-Dec. 12. "Toulouse-Lautrec's Paris" will provide a last look at the museum's collection of nearly 100 Lautrec paintings, drawings, prints and posters before curators begin to conserve and digitize them. Paying tribute to Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec — the artist, aristocrat and iconic chronicler of the belle [0xe9]poque — his famous works capture the Moulin Rouge and the 19th century cabarets, banquets and brothels in Paris that he frequented.

POWDERED DRINKS, PICTURE DICTIONARY AMONG BOOK TIPS

DOT SECRETARY VOWS TOUGHNESS ON NEW 3-HOUR TARMAC WAIT RULE

The nation's top transportation official is promising tough enforcement of a new rule limiting to three hours the time airlines can keep passengers waiting in planes on tarmacs.Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said Tuesday that airlines that don't return waiting passengers to gates within three hours can expect his department to come down hard on them.

LaHood sidestepped a question about whether he will seek the maximum fine against airlines that break the rule — $27,500 per passenger. But he said it's important that there be "strong enforcement" so that airlines know the government is serious about the time limit.

The rule went into effect on Thursday.
