Pearl Harbor Basin bike path cleanup is April 17

The fourth annual Pearl Harbor Basin bike path clean-up will be on April 17.

Volunteers will pick up rubbish along the 13 miles of bike path stretching from 'Aiea to Waipahu.

The event is sponsored by the city Department of Environmental Services.

Volunteers will help remove litter and debris at 11 field sites along the bike path including McGrew Point, Pearl Kai Shopping Center, Ted Makalena Golf Course, Kapakahi Stream and the Pupuole Street Mini Park.

They will also educate passers-by, sharing pollution prevention tips.

The clean-up runs from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
