Ex-police officer arrested on multiple charges, posts bail

A former Maui police officer has been arrested following a grand jury indictment on multiple charges, Maui police said yesterday.

Officer Allison Moore, 28, was arrested on a warrant on Tuesday in Albuquerque, N.M., and extradited back to Maui. She posted $150,000 bail and was released from custody.

Moore was indicted on Feb. 19 on 25 different counts that included suspicion of theft, attempted theft, promotion of drugs, tampering with evidence, forgery and fixing tickets.

Moore started at the Maui Police Department on Aug. 16, 2004, and resigned on Sept. 16, 2009.
