'Iolani’s ‘Dramathon’ features a day’s worth of fun

The 'Iolani Dramatic Players will bring on the drama today at the Dramathon extravaganza supporting their upcoming trip to perform in Scotland.

'Iolani School presents “Dramathon: One Acts and Plays for Young and Old.” Dramathon is an all-day extravaganza featuring theater, food, jewelry, crafts and more. Proceeds support the 'Iolani Dramatic Players’ upcoming trip to Scotland to perform Shakespeare’s “A Commedia of Errors” at this summer’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

At çIolani School’s Seto Hall from 2 to 10 p.m. today, expect performances of adapted children’s stories, such as “The Greek Tragedy of The Gingerbread Man,” “The Commedia Peter Pan” and “The Melodramatic Rapunzel.” Students will also present scenes, one-acts, commercials, an çIolani’s Got Talent show and an improvisation of “Say Something You’ll Later Regret!”
General admission is $5 per show or $20 for an all-day pass. Call 943-2251 for more information.
