Pacific Office Properties has signed a deal to handle all of the Honolulu office leasing for Bishop Street Commercial.

More than 1.6 million square feet of office space is involved, making the agreement, effective April 1, the largest commercial leasing assignment in Hawai'i history, according to the announcement made jointly by the two companies.

Properties include the Davies Pacific Center, Pan Am Building, First Insurance Center, Waterfront Plaza, Clifford Building, PBN Building and the Bank of Hawaii Waikiki Center.

Pacific Office Properties is a real estate investment trust launched in 2008 by The Shidler Group.

SOPOGY, CHAMINADE HOST FREE WORKSHOP

Sopogy Inc. and the Hogan Entrepreneurial Program at Chaminade University will host a free furlough Friday workshop today for high school students focusing on renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The event will be held from 8:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. at Sopogy's Honolulu headquarters in Māpunapuna.

Industry leaders from Energy Industries, Kanu Hawaii and the Hawaii Science & Technology Council also will participate in the workshop, which will include a demonstration on how to make a solar cooker and build a parabolic solar collector from a pizza box.
