Griffin scores 23 points to lead Mililani

RJ Griffin scored 23 points, Hassan Richardson had 18 and Joe McGlamery added 15 as Mililani (14-5) beat Lahainaluna (12-4), 73-62, in a boys basketball state tournament Division I consolation game yesterday at Stan Sheriff Center.

Samuel Kiek led the Lunas with 17 points.

Mililani will play Moanalua in today's fifth-place game at 11 a.m.

OTHER DIVISION I CONSOLATION

MOANALUA BEATS HILO, 64-60

Wesley Armbrust scored 14 points, Marcus Keene had 11 and Marcus Monroe added 10 as the Menehune (16-2) beat the Vikings (11-6).

Dakota Allen had 19 points for Hilo and Chan Spikes added 13.

CONSOLATION FINAL

KS-MAUI BEATS WAIāKEA, 53-43

Tyler Hilsabeck's 24 points led Kamehameha-Maui (11-5) past Waiākea (11-6) in the Division I consolation final.

Terani Richmond added 15 points for KS-Maui, while Chris Mattos had 10 for Waiākea.

DIVISION II CONSOLATION

ST. JOSEPH BEATS SEABURY, 72-64

Sebastian Ohara-Saft had 18 points to lead four players in double figures as the Cardinals (12-4) defeated the Spartans (10-2) at Kalani.

Jacob Andrade and Thomas Fairman had 15 points each and William Scanlan-Leite had 11 for St. Joseph, which plays Roosevelt in today's fifth-place game.

Michael Palmer had 26 points and Dylan King had 14 in the loss.

ROOSEVELT BEATS UNIVERSITY, 48-38

Kaipo Pale scored 19 points and Brendon Nakatani added 15 to help the Rough Riders (14-3) beat the Jr. Rainbows (14-3) at Farrington.

Isaiah DeLaura had 12 points in the loss.
