Final goodbye for former Honolulu Mayor Fasi

A motorcade carrying former Honolulu Mayor Frank Fasi's casket passed by Honolulu Hale and the Frank F. Fasi Municipal Building for the final time today.

The motorcade then proceeded mauka on Alapa'i Street, 'ewa on Beretania Street, mauka on Queen Emma Street before heading directly to Punchbowl.
Fasi was buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl in a private service.
Fasi, 89, died Feb. 3 of natural causes. Following yesterday’s hourlong formal service, hundreds of mourners made their way through Honolulu Hale to view the closed casket and give their condolences to the Fasi family.
