High-surf advisory for Hawaii's east shores

Advertiser Staff

There is a high-surf advisory for east-facing shores of Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Molokai and the Big Island until 6 p.m. today.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu said strong trade winds are bringing surf of 6 feet to 8 feet along east-facing shores.
A high-surf advisory could produce rip currents and beach erosion.
