Diamond Bakery and Aloha United Way are teaming up to present a family baking contest now through July 31 to create a structure (like a gingerbread house, but use your imagination) employing Diamond Bakery products and to bake an original pupu or desert using Diamond Bakery products as a primary ingredient.

Family groups up to six people must submit photos of both a structure (anything from a dog to a robot) and of their pupu or dessert in order to entry. Entries will be submitted by email to make_bake@diamondbakery.info.

All entries will be posted online ad diamondbakery.com for public voting. The top ten finalists will then be invited to a final judging event and ceremony at Ala Moana Center Stage Sept. 18.

The top three winners will be selected by a panel of celebrity judges. Prizes are: $1,500 cash plus a one year supply of Diamond Bakery products. Second prize, $1,00 and a six-month supply and third is $500 plus bakery products valued at $100.

The event is a fundaiser for Aloha United Way in that Diamond Bakery will donate a portion of their proceeds during the contest timeframe to AUW, which assists a wide variety of projects in the community.
