Tokyo String Quartet to perform on Paganini Quartet
The Tokyo String Quartet is bringing four Stradivarius instruments to Honolulu for a Feb. 3 concert.
The musicians — Martin Beaver, Kikuei Ikeda, Kazuhode Isumura and Clive Greensmith — will be playing stringed instruments known as the Paganini Quartet, on loan from the Nippon Music Foundation.
The program includes Berg’s Quartet for Strings, Op. 3, Beethoven’s Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 74, “Harp” and Bartók's Quartet No. 1, Op. 7.
The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 general, $45 for Honolulu Academy of Art members
