CLARKSVILLE, Ind. — Chris Terry, a former offensive lineman for Carolina and Kansas City, faces a felony drug charge following a traffic stop in southern Indiana.
Major Dale Abell of the Clarksville Police Department says Terry was arrested Wednesday after he was pulled over by an officer who noticed him driving erratically. Police say they found cocaine in the vehicle or on the ground outside.
Clark County Prosecutor Steve Stewart says Terry is expected to face a felony drug possession charge and misdemeanor charges of possession of a handgun without a license and driving while intoxicated.
Terry was being held without bond Thursday.
Terry, who lives in Athens, Ga., played for Georgia from 1995-1998. He was drafted by the Panthers and later played for the Chiefs. He was suspended twice during his NFL career for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
