The O'ahu Choral Society will honor former Royal Hawaiian Band conductor Aaron Mahi for his contributions to the arts at its annual fundraiser "Vivace!" on Feb. 27 at the Waialae Country Club.

Mahi led the Royal Hawaiian Band from 1981 to 2005 and was also conductor of the Honolulu Symphony Pops Orchestra from 1988 to 1995.

"Vivace!" will feature the Honolulu Chamber Choir under the direction of Esther Yoo and the Kawaiolanapukanileo a cappella ensemble.
