LaTech stays unbeaten in WAC

RUSTON, La. — Kyle Gibson scored a career-high 32 points and Loui-siana Tech defeated Fresno State, 81-73, last night for its 10th straight win.

Gibson was 9-for-15 from the field, including 7-for-12 from 3-point range, and 7-for-7 from the line for Louisiana Tech (17-2, 5-0 Western Athletic Conference).

Fresno State (10-8, 3-1) saw its four-game winning streak snapped in the battle of the Bulldogs.

Sylvester Seay scored 19 points and Paul George added 18 for Fresno State.

SAN JOSE STATE 76, BOISE STATE 74

Adrian Oliver scored a season-high 33 points, lifting the host Spartans (9-7, 2-2 WAC) over the Broncos (9-9, 0-5).

Justin Graham added 14 points for the Spartans, who snapped a 14-game losing streak in their series with Boise State. Daequon Montreal led the Broncos with 19 points.

PACIFIC WEST

HAWAI'I PACIFIC 103, CHAMINADE 94

Ray Murdock poured in 27 points, C.J. Jackson had 25 points and 13 rebounds and Mike Helton added 23 points, leading the host Sea Warriors (12-3, 4-0) past the Silverswords (4-8, 1-2) in a Pacific West Conference game at Blaisdell Arena.

Norman Wells had 15 points for HPU, which led 49-44 at intermission.

Steven Bennett had 37 points, while Shane Hanson added 20 and Waly Coulibaly 12 for Chaminade.
