An elderly male pedestrian was taken to The Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Aala Street and North Vineyard Boulevard.

Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said paramedics were sent out on the call shortly before 3 p.m.
The paramedics treated and stabilized the man before taking him to the hospital, Cheplic said.
