Attorney Turbin joins City Council race for 4th District

Attorney Richard Turbin has announced he will seek the Honolulu City Council's 4th District seat, which represents the area from Hawai'i Kai to Waikīkī.
Turbin was chairman of the Wai'alae-Kāhala Neighborhood Board from 1995 to 2004.
An attorney, he is founder and president of the law firm Turbin Chu, which specializes in personal injury, wrongful death and malpractice.
Turbin served as the 2005 president of the Hawaii State Bar Association.
In 2004, he was chosen a Traphagen Distinguished Alumni speaker at Harvard Law School, of which he is a graduate.
The 4th District seat is held by Councilman Charles Djou, who has served eight years and is barred from seeking a third consecutive term.
