Moanalua boys top Kaimuki in OIA Red East

Marcus Monroe scored 18 points and Kevin Amaral added 11 as host Moanalua beat Kaimukī, 59-41, in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red East basketball game last night.

Moanalua improved to 2-0; Kaimukī fell to 1-1.

Tevin Nishiyama and Gabriel Stietzel both scored 10 points for Kaimukī, which led 16-8 after the first period.
