MLB: Veteran pitcher Chan Ho Park joins the Yankees

Associated Press

TAMPA, Fla. — Chan Ho Park has joined the New York Yankees.

The 36-year old Park took part in his first workout with the team on Sunday. The South Korean right-hander agreed to terms last week on a $1.2 million, one-year deal with an additional $300,000 in incentives.
Park went 3-3 with a 4.43 ERA in 45 games with the NL champion Philadelphia Phillies last year. He worked 3 1-3 scoreless innings against the Yankees in the World Series.
Park threw to hitters at home before leaving for the United States and said he will be “ready” for the start of the regular season.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman has called Park “very attractive, especially what he does out of the bullpen.”
