Suspected bra thief arrested at Waikiki hotel

Advertiser Staff

A 29-year-old man was arrested at a Waikiki hotel Monday morning after security guards reported finding drugs, drug paraphernalia and two stolen brassieres in the man’s hotel room.

Police said guards, who work at the hotel on Seaside Avenue, entered the man’s room after receiving numerous noise complaints.
The guards reported finding illicit drugs on top of the dresser and a man sleeping on the bed.
The guards also found two bras on the floor next to the bed, both of which were identified as having been taken during a burglary from the hotel room next door, police said.
Police said it was determined that the man had climbed over the balcony railing to the adjoining room and entered it through an unlocked sliding door.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary, third-degree promotion of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and third-degree promotion of detrimental drugs.
