Winter Olympics spoiler alert: Bode Miller in giant slalom

WHISTLER, British Columbia — Bode Miller tells The Associated Press he chalks up his failure to complete the first run of the Olympic giant slalom to his usual high-risk, high-reward skiing style.
Miller missed out Tuesday on becoming the first man to win four Alpine medals at one Winter Games. He gets one more chance in Saturday's slalom.
Assessing Tuesday's run in an interview with the AP, Miller says: "I'm taking more risk than everyone else. That's partly why I'm able to get medals. It looks easy when you make it. When you crash like today, it's like, 'Oh, huh?' I did a good job today, too. I was right there. I was right on the edge."
He says he hooked his glove on a gate and "that's all there is to it."
Miller's last chance to win a fourth medal will be Saturday in the slalom.
