Funeral tomorrow for woman killed in Nanakuli McDonald's
Funeral services for the woman run down at the Nanakuli McDonald’s will be held from noon to 4 p.m. tomorrow at Moanalua Mortuary, 1150 Kikowaena St. in Honolulu.
Raelynn Aloha Adams, 20, died during an alleged altercation between her boyfriend and another man early Jan. 31.
Police said Adams and a 15-year-old girl friend had gotten out of a car parked in the McDonald's lot in hopes of persuading Adams' boyfriend to end a confrontation with Albert Birmingham, who was allegedly driving a car behind him in the drive-through.
Police were told that the driver behind the car carrying Adams and the two others had been honking its horn and telling Adams and the others to hurry up.
Adams' boyfriend, 45, got their food, pulled into the parking lot, got out and went to ask the other driver what the problem was, police said.
Adams and the girl got out of their car and were trying to urge Adams' boyfriend to drop the matter when the driver of the other car allegedly accelerated, striking Adams and the girl about 3:05 a.m.
Birmingham, 36, was charged with one count of first-degree negligent homicide and failure to render aid.
