MADD to host grief, bereavement seminar

MADD Hawaii will this Saturday host a “Grief and Bereavement Seminar” at The Queen’s Conference Center, 510 S. Beretania St.
The seminar, set for 9 a.m. to noon, offers victims and the community an opportunity to learn different techniques for coping, healing and surviving the loss of a loved one. The free event is tailored for victims, survivors, family, friends and colleagues.

Guest speakers include: Mary Essig-Morrow, “Coping with Tragedy;” Anne Sage, a certified therapist, “Giving yourself permission to grieve;” and Brother Jack Isbell, Order of the Franciscans of the Holy Cross and Hawaii Pacific University professor of social work and psychology, “Stages of Grief.”
Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. To RSVP seminar attendance, call MADD Hawaii at 808-532-6232.
