No. 3 Punahou breaks away from MPI in 49-36 victory

DeForest Buckner scored 12 points to lead No. 3 Punahou to a 49-36 Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I victory over visiting Mid-Pacific last night.

The Buffanblu (8-2) led 27-22 after three quarters and outscored the Owls, 22-14 in the final period to pull away.

Andrew Swanson scored 12 points and Shaun Dobovan added 10 for MPI, which fell to 2-8.
