Kemoeatu brothers to hold clinics, events

The NFL-playing Kemoeatu brothers, Ma'ake of the Carolina Panthers and Chris of the Pittsburgh Steelers, will hold football clinics and school visitations on O'ahu from Feb. 15 to 20.

Highlighting the six-day event will be the Kemoeatu Brothers Foundation Football Clinics, which will feature more than 20 NFL players. The clinics will be held Feb. 18 at Kahuku from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Feb. 20 at Radford from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Those in grades 3 through 8 can apply online at kemoeatubrothers.org.

Kahuku High School players can see coach Reggie Torres to participate. Registration is online only. Deadline is Feb. 16.

Each site will offer three sessions with NFL players teaching football skills. The players will be available for autographs afterward.

On Monday, the brothers, as well as NFL players, will be at Wet 'n' Wild Hawaii from noon to 2 p.m. They will take part in a charity dunk tank and will sign autographs.

AMATEUR BOXING CLINIC HELD ON KAUA'I

An amateur boxing clinic will be held tomorrow at the Kaua'i PAL Boxing gym in Līhu'e (3990 Kaana St.).

About 20 officials and coaches will attend the clinic.

A coaches clinic will be held from 8 a.m. to noon with an officials clinic from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The clinic is open to adults interested in becoming a coach, official, time keeper, judge or referee for sanctioned USA Boxing events.

The event will help support the first Ken Oki Memorial Boxing event, sponsored by the Kaua'i PAL Boxing Club, on Feb. 27 at the Kapa'a High School gym. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the event starting at 6. Admission will be charged.
