Bone marrow donors sought for 8-year-old boy

Advertiser Staff

Eight-year-old Mitchell Ganeku is fighting for his life against aplastic anemia and is in need of a bone marrow transplant.

His Asian-Pacific background makes it difficult to find a match so the Hawaii Bone Marrow Donor Registry will be holding a drive from 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Kapunahala Elementary School during the Kapunahala Community Health Fair, 45-828 Anoi Road.

Donors must be 18 to 60 years old and in good health.

For more information, call 547-6154 or visit www.marrow.org.
