Police have reopened Alakea and Queen streets following a collision between a city bus and a pickup truck at the Downtown intersection.

The accident happened about 6 a.m.
Police closed both streets near the intersection while crews removed the bus and truck.
The driver of the truck, a man believed to be in his 50s, was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Police reopened the streets about 6:45, avoiding a major traffic tie-up.
