Alaska Airlines to add three more flights from the West Coast
Alaska Airlines will add three more flights to Hawaii from the West Coast this fall as part of its continuing expansion into the local market.
The carrier said today it will inaugurate daily service between San Diego and Maui, beginning Oct. 1.
It also will add two seasonal flights to Kona, one from Portland and one from Seattle. Alaska Airlines will run the Portland flight four times a week starting Nov. 12 and the Seattle flight three times a week starting Nov. 11.
The new flights are in addition to the new daily service between Portland and Honolulu the carrier announced last week.
"This winter we will have more than 100 roundtrips a week to the four major Hawaiian Islands, and we're offering low fares and Alaska Airlines Vacations packages that make Hawaii travel even more affordable," said Joe Sprague, Alaska's vice president of marketing.
