DLNR to present update on state's 'Ahihi-Kīna'u reserve
The state Department of Land and Natural Resources will hold a public information "talk story" meeting in Kīhei this evening to present updates on the status of the current two-year closure for portions of 'Ahihi-Kīna'u Natural Area Reserve.
The meeting will be at Lokelani Intermediate School 1401 Liloa Drive in Kīhei, at 6:30 p.m.
DLNR is seeking public comments on a proposal to continue this closure.
Division of Forestry and Wildlife staff will give a short presentation regarding 'Ahihi-Kīna'u Natural Area Reserve and provide updates on the current closure period, which expires July 31.
