After-School All-Stars gets $20,000 award from HECO, American Savings

Hawaiian Electric Co. and American Savings Bank have awarded $20,000 to the Hawaii chapter of After-School All-Stars to launch programs five Oahu middle schools.

After-School All-Stars Hawaii is a non-profit that provides free after-school programs designed to keep kids safe and help them succeed in schools. The program was founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1990.

After-School All-Stars Hawaii has started programs at Dole Middle, Kalakaua Middle, King Intermediate, Jarrett Middle and Washington Middle.
