Wounded Hawai'i will try to heal itself and prepare for its weekend series at Louisiana Tech with a non-conference game today at Centenary.

Game time is 1 p.m. Hawai'i time, but it will not be aired on ESPN 1420 AM.

The Rainbows (18-18, 2-6) will be without outfielder Christian Johnson (.333, 5 HR, 11 RBI), who suffered a shoulder injury trying to make a diving catch Friday against Sacramento State. He returned home to get a magnetic resonance imaging and no replacement will be sent up for the Louisiana Tech series.

Also, shortstop Greg Garcia suffered a leg injury in mid-at-bat in Sunday's game and was pinch-hit for by Jesse Moore.

"He was walking around tenderly today," UH coach Mike Trapasso said. "I think he'll be OK for the weekend."

As for a starting pitcher today, Trapasso said possibly Connor Little or Alex Capaul will get the ball. Either way, the game is being staffed today. With only a one-day break before the WAC series, Trapasso wants to be sure pitchers are available for the weekend.

The Rainbows are coming off losing three of four at Sacramento State and are in last place in the seven-team WAC.

Centenary is 17-14 overall and leads the eight-team Summit League with a 7-1 record.
