Timbers in Hanapepe catch fire

About 40 timbers lying on the side of a cane haul road in Hanapepe Valley on Kauai caught fire this afternoon.
The fire began at 12:17 p.m. today about 50 yards from the end of Hulakolo Road. Firefighters used water and foam to combat the fire and used chainsaws to cut the logs into smaller pieces.
The fire was out by 3:08 p.m. No one was injured in the blaze and no structures were damaged.
