House fire put out by neighbor on Big Island

A neighbor with a garden hose helped put out a house fire early Saturday morning in Pepeekeo on the Big Island,firefighters said.
When firefighters arrived at the 6:40 a.m. fire on Kalika Place, the residents had been evacuated by the same neighbor who put out the fire. The fire caused about $30,00 in damage. Firefighters ventilated the two-story home. The cause is under investigation.
