Washington Place is site for USO Hawaii tribute dinner

Advertiser Staff

The governor's mansion, Washington Place, will be the site of USO Hawaii's first Gala Tribute dinner on April 16.

Gov. Linda Lingle will lead the night's black-tie event honoring U.S. military personnel, the organization said.

Proceeds will be used for enhanced programs and morale services for military members and their families.

About 250,000 active duty, veterans, military retirees, families and support personnel call Hawai'i home, the USO said.

Lingle will deliver a congratulatory message, and Lt. Gen. Benjamin R. "Randy" Mixon will be the keynote speaker.

Seating is limited. Individual tickets are $250. Inquiries can be made to: elsmith@uso.org or by calling 836-3351.
