Hawaiian Airlines was the nation's top-ranked carrier for on-time performance and fewest flight cancellations in February, according to a report from U.S. Department of Transportation.

Hawaiian had an industry-best 88.2 percent of its flights arrive as scheduled in February, along with an industry-low score of 0.3 percent for fewest cancelled flights to rank first in both categories.

In addition, Hawaiian ranked second overall for fewest misplaced bags during February, reporting 1.89 mishandled baggage reports for every 1,000 passengers served.

The DOT report covers 18 airlines, including eight carriers providing service to Hawaii.
