NBA: Bogut set for surgery, Bucks push toward playoffs

By CHRIS JENKINS

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut is scheduled to have surgery two days after he broke his right hand, sprained his wrist and dislocated his elbow.

Milwaukee coach Scott Skiles says Bogut is having surgery Monday for the injuries he sustained in an ugly crash to the court in Saturday night's victory over the Phoenix Suns.

The team has not yet officially ruled Bogut out for the season, though a recovery in time for the playoffs seems unlikely. Bogut has been a major contributor in the Bucks' surprising season and his teammates vow to continue their playoff push without him.

Milwaukee currently is sixth in the Eastern Conference and can clinch its first playoff berth since the 2005-06 season with a victory at Chicago on Tuesday night.
