Autos: Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel wins Malaysian GP

Associated Press

SEPANG, Malaysia — Sebastian Vettel captured the Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday, beating teammate Mark Webber to the checkers and posting a 1-2 finish for Red Bull.

Vettel passed Webber in the run to the first corner and held that lead throughout the Formula One race, with Nico Rosberg finishing third for Mercedes as forecast rain stayed away.

Renault's Robert Kubica was fourth and Force India's Adrian Sutil took fifth. McLaren teammates Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button fought their way through the field to finish sixth and eighth respectively, sandwiched by Ferrari's Felipe Massa.

Massa's teammate, Fernando Alonso, had an engine failure on the second to last lap.

Massa leads the championship by two points over Vettel and Alonso.
