Mothers Against Drunk Driving is seeking nominations from the community to recognize members of law enforcement for their contributions in the fight against drunk driving and preventing underage drinking.

Honorees are selected for developing innovative and effective enforcement programs in the following four categories: impaired driving — individual, impaired driving — unit, underage drinking — individual and underage drinking — unit.

Special consideration will be given to individuals or departments that created an innovative approach or unique enforcement strategy that created a positive impact from Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2009.

This year's award recipients will be honored at MADD's Law Enforcement Awards luncheon, noon- 1 p.m. May 6 at the Pacific Club.
